It took guts for Biden to step down. It took wisdom for him to endorse Kamala Harris. Any other decision would have caused a bloodbath in the Democratic Party. All is calm now and all appears to be well. There’s no bigger evidence of that than the big crowds showing up everywhere to welcome Kamala and her running mate.
Like a fine tooth comb, they are running through Swing States with a level of ferocity that was only seen when Obama ran in 2008.
I’ve watched Kamala speak a number of times. She needs to do more reading and rigor, and practice with focus groups. She must do and say and project the kinds of ideas that help to distinguish candidate A from B by miles.
For example, she must craft a message to address the pain of Arab Americans about the carnage in Gaza. Their votes should not be ignored especially when thin margins were of critical importance in 2020.
