Undoubtedly the reigning Pope of Pentecostal Christianity, Pastor Enoch Adeboye is not quite happy with young converts and their generational proclivities. He can’t understand why young girls should be wearing false eyelashes, false nails and heavy makeup. He did not spare young men who braid their hair. He has therefore read the riot act to those of them who aspire to be pastors. “We don’t want you here.”
Many critics of this policy consider his utterance to be heavy handed but also concede that they are not surprised because he is a man in his 80s. One of them quoted the Bible, saying: Did Jesus not say we should come as we are? She concluded, “Daddy is judging us based on our outward appearance. How do we find husbands if we cover up completely?”
