Unconfirmed reports have it that the job had been offered to his former boss. He passed it on to a trusted hand. There are also unconfirmed reports that when his former boss called him to warn him to steer clear from perdition, he hung up on him and stopped taking his calls.
Indeed power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
He even ran for President as a sitting CBN governor.
A Federal High Court has now ordered that his assets be seized. A peek at the listed Ikoyi properties will leave the reader’s mouth wide open.
The one before him talked himself out of a job.
We can only hope that the one there now, will learn from the mistakes of his predecessors and work for Nigeria. Nigeria is in urgent need of Nigerians who will work for Nigeria.
