Every generation throws up its legends. Every generation replaces the former in a sequence that propels itself like an orchestral. It never misses a beat. In the great show of life, the beat goes on. One person sets a record in one generation and the world goes—-wowww!!! Another generation comes along and leaves the old record in the dust.
This speaks to improvement of the human species. We get better at everything. Whereas Sam Walton had to physically build Walmart in brick and mortar across the United States to become a billion dollar corporation, Amazon just created an online platform and got bigger than Walmart in a short period of time.
Simone Biles now stands as the most decorated American Gymnastics Olympian ever and the second most decorated gymnast behind Vera Caslavska of Czechoslovakia who died in 2016.
One thing is clear. Her record will be broken. The question is: When?
