In case you slept a little bit too much last week, here’s what went down.

We had quite some anxiety about the future of Dangote Refinery versus NNPC versus the Presidency versus Independent Marketers versus the Nigerian people and their state of anxiety with inflation.

By week’s end, an outline of what the future might look like began to take shape. Clearly, the NNPC which had had the unchecked opportunity to defraud the country with the subsidy and importation regime for almost 40 years was not going to walk into the sunset and allow Dangote eat everything that comes with his great achievement at actually building, completing and beginning the operation of a Refinery that actually works in Nigeria.

after all the prior equivocation that we had come into an era of complete deregulation. It is a grave mistake. It will be only a matter of time before they make themselves into a cog in the wheel of the Dangote freedom train.

Post debate, Kamala has raised over $100m. Her poll numbers are rising and the racist trope about immigrants eating cats and dogs continues to be a topic of discussion as Trump and J.D Vance struggle to outdo each other in the propagation of extremist rhetoric.
