People who Want To Break up the Country. Hear ye.

Here’s what I have to say: Be careful what you wish for.

If Nigeria will be better when broken up, why is it that no single governor has been able to transform their own State in 25 years of democracy? Is an 8-year term not long enough to build one good hospital in at least one State that will stop all medical tourism from Nigeria?

Is an 8-year term not long enough to train at least one athlete who will go and bring Gold from the Olympics? Every governor is solidly on his seat long enough to witness at least one Olympics event. Some will see two depending on how the cycle of governance runs.

Let’s take ordinary LG elections—Not a single governor has been able to hold LG elections successfully without winning 100%. In fact even the best governor, if we can point to one, did not hold LG elections in 8 years. So, what will happen if his State becomes a country where no one can ask questions?

If you show me one State that will become like Dubai in 8 years if we break up, I will sell you a bridge.

Singapore is a City-State. It has a land area of about 700 square kilometers. The smallest State in Nigeria is at least 6 times bigger than Singapore and definitely has more resources than Singapore. Why is it that Singapore has $1 Trillion in savings and every single State in Nigeria owes tons of money?

People need to stop all the agitation for breakup. Does anyone think there’s any State right now in this country that will transform into a country without another war of separation within the State? I can tell you for sure that Edo State will split into at least 4 countries. Edo North will split into 2 countries.
Edo Central may remain as one.
Edo South may also remain as one because they are united by the monarchy.

Former Yugoslavia became 6 countries after a long and painful war. How are they doing as tiny countries versus when they were united?

Let’s not forget South Sudan. When they became a country, did they stay united? Again, war broke out. They are still fighting.

By the time we finish breaking up Nigeria, we would have at least 112 wars, and 112 countries, each one ruled by a strong man who will rule for life.

What would be nice is for every Nigerian agitator to be taken on a time travel into the future. When you see the dragon that your governor is transformed into and how they have banned ordinary telephone and television in your homes, you will be begging for Nigeria to return.

The final question I want to ask agitators is this——when we finish breaking up the country, are we going to import good citizens from well behaved countries to populate Nigeria?

Let’s face it—we are very badly behaved people.
