In my last essay titled: Billionaire Kidnappers, I inquired thusly: Nigeria has been kidnapped. Who will rescue Nigeria? Responses have been pouring in, most of which are full of lamentation for the present state of our country and skepticism about the future.
In discussing with a retired Colonel who served meritoriously with the DMI for many years, my hope in the viability of our country and restoration of peace and security has been rekindled. Hence the title of this short article: I inveni responsum—- which is Latin for——I have found the answer.

“Each LGA has at least one DPO. A group of DPOs are overseen by an Area Commander who in turn serves under a State CP. States are grouped under the oversight of a Zonal AIG. So, we have the security architecture in place.
The question therefore is, “Why is it not working? —How can we make it work?”
He says it simply: “The Buck stops on the table of Mr. President.” He must punish people who do not do their job. Their replacements will sit up. “That simple?” I asked. “Yes,” he replied.
He is a retired Colonel. He served with distinction. I agree with him.
