Barry Wilmore and Sunita Williams had a dream of becoming astronauts. Their dream came true. When Boeing was looking for volunteers to go to space for 8 days on a test flight on the Starliner, they volunteered.
They left for Space on July 5th, 2024. They were supposed to return to earth after 8 days. Now, it looks like —truly—Houston, we have a problem yet again.
The Starliner has developed a problem and we can’t just go down the road in Space to get help to fix the leaking Rocket. Their lives might be at risk, as this might spell a major disaster for Space missions if it does not end well.
It looks like the earliest opportunity they might have of returning to earth would be in February, 2025. People like Butch and Sunita are the kind of people who put their lives at great risk for the benefit of humanity. We pray for their safe return.
