Dangote, NNPC & The English Language

Until today, I thought I was an educated man. But now, I am confused. Now, let’s break this statement from the NNPC down to pieces.

NNPC: We have sold Crude to Dangote in Naira.

NNPC: NNPC is not a monopoly, but we are the only ones lifting petrol.

NNPC: We will tie Dangote’s petrol to FX.

NNPC: The market has been deregulated.

NNPC: NNPC will start lifting petrol from Dangote on the 15th of September.

NNPC: We are waiting for the government to deliberate on pricing.

Government official: Don’t mind NNPC. It’s a free market. Dangote cannot sell below his production price.

Dangote: We are ready to supply everybody in 48 hours.

Government: Please bear with us. Things will improve soon.

Marketers: We have over 2,000 trucks waiting to load.

We, the People: Haba!!!! Too much suffering in the land.

Me: I thought I went to school. Can someone help me understand everything I just wrote?
