I can always count on Martha Stewart to dish out the best recipes and lifestyle tips, but you won’t find her handing out any roses on The Golden Bachelorette.
The famous chef and entrepreneur recently appeared on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with her pal, Snoop Dogg, and offered some candid responses about her feelings toward the reality show. When host Andy Cohen asked if she cared about the dating reality series, she replied, “Not at all.” Meanwhile, Snoop had to clarify what the show was before responding, “Oh, no.”
Then came the more fascinating question: Would Stewart ever appear on The Golden Bachelorette if she was paid upwards of $1 million per episode? Without missing a beat, she said, “Absolutely not.”
Assuming that a bigger paycheck would do the trick, Snoop, encouraged Cohen to raise the proposed salary by “adding another zero,” noting that $1 million per episode isn’t enough. But even when Cohen suggested a whopping $10 million per episode, it was a hard no from Stewart.
As for why the TV personality turned it down so quickly, she said, “The guys aren’t hot enough.” (Oof.) And with a smile, Snoop responded, “It ain’t about the money it’s about how hot the guys are… He said 10 million…Can’t get it if he don’t look right.”
FYI, Snoop wasn’t the only one who had something to say about Stewart’s hot take on the show. Golden Bachelorette star Joan Vassos also came to the defense of the contestants when she appeared on Access Hollywood, noting that she even reached out to Stewart directly.
She said, “By the way, I DM’ed her last night. I don’t know if she’s read it yet, but I did and I said, ‘OK, dating is hard out there and I had a great group of guys.’ She doesn’t know them like I know them. I got to know the inside of them as well as the outside and both are wonderful.”
Vassos also acknowledged the stark contrast between Stewart’s response and the positive reactions from fans, adding, “I feel like everybody’s falling in love with them. I’m like, ‘What’s wrong with you, Martha?’ But I DM’ed her last night and I’m waiting for a response.”

As a bonus, Vassos noted that she was open to inviting Stewart to the show’s finale, which just might change her mind about the series. Quite frankly, I’d say the chances of this happening are low—but in the meantime, I’ll keep my fingers crossed and stay on the lookout for any surprise Martha Stewart cameos.
