Elon Musk is a maverick businessman. Trump was the original maverick businessman. One builds Electric Cars, the other builds houses. And then, they begin to diverge.
One loves Electric Cars, but the other hates them. What is it therefore that brings them together? It’s hard to tell.
On the other hand, Biden/Harris have been great promoters of the Electric Car and they have pumped billions into the industry. It’s hard therefore to fathom why Elon Musk would rather be friends with and want to help Trump more than Kamala.
Well, it seems every political season creates new friends and makes new enemies.

After the political season, everyone can kiss and make up again.
Two days ago, Elon Musk organized a conversation with Trump to bring him back to Twitter/X. The conversation started late due to technical difficulties, but even more of a disaster was the conversation itself. It did not throw up any new policy insights or come up with new ideas about how to solve problems, real problems with real people with real inflation.
Instead, as is usual with Trump in all his interviews, he had to lace it with innuendos and falsehoods and derogatory comments. Readers here may want to check it out for yourselves and let us have your thoughts.
The question is: who had more to gain from the interview? Did Elon Musk do it for purely altruistic reasons? Did he have something to gain by having Trump and his supporters back on Twitter? What now happens to Trump’s own Truth Social? Well, it seems their shares are already falling. Is there another lawsuit in the pipeline between Truth Social and Trump?
