In the summer of 1941, Hitler launched Operation Barbarossa. He had always had vaulting ambitions to expand Germany Eastwards to gain living space for his self declared “superior” race—the Germans. What was he thinking?
Any soldier with a modicum of training in military school will tell you that was a mistake. It marked the beginning of the end of German expansionism and it led to the inevitable demise of the Third Reich. Hitler spread his army too thin.
In the summer of 2024, one cannot make any attempt to compare Zelensky’s Ukraine with Hitler’s Germany.
The world has never seen anything like Hitler’s Germany. It was a juggernaut in every sense of the word and it was led by an asylum class megalomaniac with equally insane megalomaniacal following.
To give context, Operation Barbarossa was, and has stood as the largest ground military operation ever seen. It deployed 3.8 million troops, thousands of tanks and aircraft and thousands of horses. From a number’s perspective, failure did not look like an option.
But it failed.
Zelensky must be mad to dare to dream to invade Russia. Napoleon Bonaparte tried.
He also failed.
What is Zelensky thinking? What is his end game? Is he suicidal? Does he want to provoke a nuclear war? Is he planning to secure a nuclear site and warheads in Russia to gain leverage and bring the war against his country to a stop?
The United States claims to have been blindsided by the audacity on the part of Zelensky.
Could this be true?
Whatever he has in mind to achieve, it would appear, he alone knows.
One thing we may not know for sure is this. Is he doing this with the collaboration of Russians who want to see the demise of sit-tight Putin?
Whatever it is that prompted Zelensky to dream this nightmare, I do not think the world yet understands what a slippery slope means for the world not to decisively step into this matter and stop the all round madness in that part of the world before it’s too late.
Will Putin be provoked to drop a nuclear bomb on Ukraine to obliterate the country?
Lest we forget, COVID plus Russian invasion of Ukraine is at the root of the inflation the world is currently experiencing.
A further stitch in time is urgently required.
We missed the first stitch.
