Edo Votes on September 21st. With less than 40 days to go, the major political parties in Edo State are jostling for the votes of the people. Akpakomiza has extended free transportation which has been active in Esan land for the past year to Edo South. PDP on the other hand has been running free transport services across the State in the past few months.
The electorate is the beautiful bride. Vote getters are smiling to the bank. Women leaders on all sides are on fire to get the women’s vote for their preferred candidate. Rice is being bagged and re-bagged for distribution to the poor. The air is vibrant as small businesses making T-Shirts and face caps are busy.
Many new friendships are forming as old ones are breaking up. That is the nature of elections, so strong that it pitches brother against brother and son against father. Election season is like religion. People believe one thing and nothing else makes sense.
September 21st will come as surely as the Sun will shine. One thing is for sure. No matter who wins or who loses, the heavens will not fall. Life will go on. Will it be PDP, APC, or LABOR. We do not know. Egogonewshub will be interviewing the candidates of all three major parties. This should help provide a glimpse into their personalities and their priorities and programs.
