Prison officials confirmed that inmates are prohibited from possessing recording devices, and Lanez’s team, led by Ceasar McDowell from Unite the People, is waiting to learn if he will face further disciplinary action. Despite the halt, his recent track “The Colour Violet” recently surpassed one billion streams, showing continued fan support, including backing from fellow rapper Drake.
