Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, affectionately known as Omosexy, has received an outpouring of support from fellow actors and fans following her recent recovery from gallbladder surgery. The beloved Nollywood star shared her health journey on social media, expressing gratitude for her survival after a serious health scare that required emergency medical intervention.

In a heartfelt Instagram post on November 28, 2024, Omotola recounted the harrowing experience that led to her hospitalization. While engaged in film production and attending a screening for the Academy Voting Members of “Gladiator II,” she began experiencing severe back and chest pain, accompanied by persistent vomiting. Despite multiple visits to the emergency room earlier that week, her condition worsened until she was rushed in for surgery.

“The doctors were checking for my now high blood pressure and intense acid reflux,” she explained. After enduring a night of continuous vomiting, she was taken to the hospital for the third time, where scans revealed that her gallbladder was severely dilated. “The doctor came in and said, ‘You have to go in immediately for surgery!’” Omotola recounted. She expressed disbelief at how she had managed to endure such pain without realising the severity of her condition.

A Celebration of Life

Following her successful surgery, Omotola took to social media to celebrate her recovery and encourage others to express gratitude for their health. “So the fight for my life began, and today I return to give all the glory to God,” she wrote. Her message resonated with many, prompting an outpouring of support from fans and colleagues alike.
