Life Lessons from Meghan Markle Syndrome. How to succeed inspite of negativity in 2025.

It’s no longer news that Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry her husband stepped back as working British Royals over 5 years ago.
What is news is the tremendous vitriol that still trails every move, and act of this dynamic duo. It’s like—“damn you do and damn you don’t!”

Remember during the separation summit in Windsor Castle in United Kingdom, both of them were made to relinquish their Royal titles, patronages, perks and spoils of office. Since then, Meghan and Harry have rolled up their sleeves to don their business suits, and earn a living.

First they moved across the Atlantic, bought their home, added to the family, started production businesses, produced documentaries, and penned books. Have they been busy and thriving……

They have visited Nigeria and Colombia on invitation to promote Invictus Games and other social projects of theirs. They have raised donor funds to support new patronages around the world.

Despite minding their business in faraway California, United States, both Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry are still the subject of deep passion, and derision depending on whose side you are on.

What triggered the latest yaketyark started on New Year’s Day rather innocuously. Day 1, Meghan Markle returned to Instagram after a 7 year hiatus. Day 2, she released a winsome trailer for her new lifestyle show. Day 3, she moved from 200,000 to 1.4 million million in a week.

That was when the floodgates of diverse opinions raged from across the Atlantic. You would think the Israeli/Gaza, Russia/Ukraine, Syria/Turkey situations were of lesser dimensions than Meghan Markle!
Such are the savage attacks from rabid ‘Karens’ over a series trailer. The show proper is yet to even start streaming on Netflix. Meanwhile critic after critic have panned a show they are yet to watch.

This is why Women’s Hub this week will be dishing out worthy life lessons on this matter for women in 2025. We need to pick up worthy life lessons from Meghan Markle.

Don’t you wonder how she keeps going and dropping new projects inspite of such rabid toxicity. Let’s do a quick Masterclass.

  • Shut down the noise: Don’t deign to respond to such negativity by stating your point of view. It will still be twisted and misinterpreted anyway. You are already hated by them, they have been fed lies about you, so, don’t bother. Shut out the noise and focus on yourself.
  • Keep quiet: Mum is the word. Now is time to maintain dignity, and quietness. Let your actions be deliberate, and pragmatic. Don’t issue statements but hunker down in the midst of your projects.
  • Stay away from social media: Take long and short breaks from social media. Just watch the world go by for your sanity.
  • Know your inner circle: Make sure your team members are on the same page with you. Brief them regularly to prevent leaks.
  • Keep your projects under wraps: Work assiduously on your projects away from public glare. Select few hands that you entrust with sensitive materials, and information.
  • Be resilient: Now is the time to be mentally stronger than the opposing voices. Use the adverse language as fuel for your next successful venture.

What would you do if you were in Meghan Markle’s shoes?
