How to navigate the holiday season with fanfare.

Despite all that’s going on in the country, it seems ladies are determined to keep their spirits high and be mentally alert.
Even if you live under a rock in a far away island, somehow, you will be aware that December has finally arrived.

Do you know that December represents different things to different people?

For some it’s the end of a calendar year of work. For others it’s a family holiday to the lands of their nativity.

For some people, it’s the time to schedule wedding, burial, house dedication ceremonies.

This is true for the ‘I just got back gang.’
They have made it back to Nigeria from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Europe and Australia. It’s a yearly ritual to touch base and frolick with home folks. This is deeply entrenched among our Igbo kith and kin.

There’s a running joke that when these Diaspora folks sweep into town, homegrown ladies are usually caught in their web of sweet stories!
So much charged romantic liaisons are enacted during this season.
Some can be genuine but so many go away with the wind as soon as the holiday is over.

That’s why ladies must be smart and astute during this period. As they say in the streets lingo…..”shine your eyes.” When a story is too sweet and picture perfect, check behind the scenes.
