Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex elicits different reactions from different people. Some are passionate about her pursuits, while others are rabid haters.
It seems she has read the room, and is determined to carry on with her life regardless of these distractions.
The California wild fires is a case in point. Everyone knows that Meghan Markle was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.
Having stepped back from her time as full time working Royal, she has moved back to her home state with her young family.
Such is the devastating calamity caused by the wild fires to homes, and businesses in the last week that it can only be imagined. So many have scrambled to help. Donations are pouring in from celebrities such as Learnado de Caprio, Jennifer Garner, Angelina Jolie, among others.
This was also the subtle response of Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry during the horrific wildfires in California.
Both have codedly handed out food parcels, clothes, funds and hugs to affected people.
They walked their talk by showing up at shelters. They also opened the doors of their home to accommodate stranded friends..
These same humanitarian gestures done by someone else have elicited praises and adulation. Jennifer Garner was dubbed Queen of Compassion. But not Meghan Markle. She once again has been branded opportunistic, and vain by relentless critics for showing up as a healing balm for distressed people.
So, on Women’s Hub this week we will conclude by dishing more tips on getting things done despite immense negativity around you. Meghan Markle seems to be a class-act in thriving in the midst of trolls. Here’s how:
- Lock your social media handles: Don’t give room for mindless morons to jerk off their frustrations on your social media page. Restrict access to your space.
- Focus on your job: Don’t engage with the noise makers. Some people are deeply unhappy in their lives, and are on the lookout to drag people to their levels. Resist the urge to explain. Keep mum and watch the world go by while you work.
- Hire a strong PR team: Their job is to drop statements when necessary as you unveil new projects or ventures.
Mind your business: Really hunker down to do the job at hand. Reduce attendance at showy public events for some time. Work. Plan. Launch.
Don’t crack under pressure: You must soar like an eagle and fly high for greater impact and purpose. Negative people are not going anywhere important. They have so much time for frivolities.
Which one will you try immediately as 2025 gets off to a good start? Remember it’s up to you to climb the ladder despite the noise of toxic trolls.
