By now, it must be crystal clear to anyone, group or nation that decides to wage war against Israel
that it will only be a matter of time.
Israel, just like their neighbors are a nation of Shepherds. The Shepherd is acculturated to give his life for the Sheep. The mind of the Shepherd is sharp, decisive, protective, combative, compassionate, yet unforgiving to anyone that hurts his Sheep.
Hence the stories that Jesus told about the Shepherd. He made the point of describing himself as the Good Shepherd. By implication therefore, there’s a bad Shepherd.
Hear this description rendered in Rambo 3 about the Afghan. “Oh lord Shiva, deliver us from the claws of the Tiger, the venom of the Cobra and the vengeance of the Afghan.”
Interestingly, lord Shiva is the god of destruction, one of a pantheon of gods in Hinduism.
This is the Operating System in that region, and the reason why in our lifetime and maybe for all lifetimes until Armageddon comes, the search for peace in the Middle East will continue to be an illusion.
Hassan Nasrallah, the number one terrorist for 30 long years, Secretary General of the Army of God, Hezbollah, was taken out by bunker busting bombs on September 27th.
The scene was reminiscent of Don Michael Corleone in the Godfather. Just as Michael was in Church service being made Godfather to his sister’s child while his enemies were being slaughtered, Don Benjamin Netanyahu was at the United Nations giving a very intelligent address to a largely empty hall, in faraway New York, when he signed an order for the Airforce to proceed to mission to take out Hassan Nasrallah.

Don Bibi Netanyahu addressed a largely empty hall, emptied out by hypocrites who deny their own countries basic freedoms but oppose the right of a people to coexist peacefully, a people whose very existence is threatened on a minute by minute basis by enemies who deny their right to exist.
Let’s face it. Can anyone really look at the history of that region and come to the conclusion that Israel is the oppressor?
They are about the only democratic country in that region and no one in the region is mates with them. None.
But there is a problem.
The war will widen as more foolishness will continue to engulf that region. Iran has been a bone in the neck of every country in that region. They sponsor proxies in the “Axis of Resistance” in the region. They are being baited to join the war against Israel. If they take the bait, they will be destroyed. If they don’t take the bait, they will be given a Hobson’s Choice to make. Israel will escalate by coming up with a doctrine of “Complicity by aiding and abetting proxies like Hezbollah, Hamas, Hizballah and Houthi rebels in Yemen.”
It is inevitable. Iran must be made to join this war because there’s an existential need on the part of Israel to destroy the present Ayatollah leadership in Iran and by extension, destroy their nuclear weapons program.

And by the way, Nigeria also walked out of the United Nations Assembly Hall, I believe, in solidarity with Arab countries as a member of the Organization of Islamic Conference.
We are an underdeveloped country that should be focused on solving our own internal crisis of hunger, and of 20 million out of school children in Northern Nigeria due to a combination of the Almajiri scourge, banditry, Boko Haram and barefaced stealing by the Nigerian elite.
Add to that, over 60 million unemployed and inflation running wild.
Nigeria has no business being a member of any international religious body. The country must take its hands off religion if it does not have a desire to fall into pieces.
In my family of 9 siblings, all 9 of us attend a different church on Sunday morning and everyone thinks their own church is superior to others’
We must leave religion alone as a country. Let the people decide what and who they want to worship. After all, nations don’t go to heaven. People do.
No one heard from China until they were ready to play on the world stage. We must hunker down as a country and pursue big time greatness. Our people are far better educated than the average Chinese or the average citizen of any country around the world.
Our education makes us trainable to acquire new skills.
On every level, if you put the average Nigerian with the average Chinese, we will beat them if we choose to pursue greatness as a country.
We are Eagles, behaving as Chickens. Nigeria, it’s time to wake up.
THE DELUGE.
Many observers described the destruction that accompanied Hurricane Helene last week as one of biblical proportions. Houses were uprooted, roads were cut up, cars and big trucks floated like toys, and buildings were completely submerged. Hundreds of people are unaccounted for. It’s been a “Horribilis Hebdomada”—A horrible week.
As in Nepal, so also in Mexico, North Carolina, Florida and Georgia. The storm was unsparing in its ferocity and the devastation in its aftermath.
Recovery efforts will take months and years and tens of billions of dollars. May heaven comfort families who have lost loved ones, and for those who have lost everything, may help come their way to help them to recover.

On a lighter note, Janet Jackson was reported to have displayed a behavior usually attributed to blondes. She said she heard that Kamala Harris’ father is White.
Hey Janet, it’s okay for you to be a singer. We like you like that.
And by the way, there’s nothing wrong with being a singer. Just learn to read!!
IMMIGRATION, IMMIGRATION.
That’s 90 percent of what Trump talks about whereas almost 90 percent of his workers at Maralago are underpaid immigrants. He can use them for his businesses, even when he continues to brand them as killers and criminals and dog and cat eaters. Immigration is always a tool for division by politicians who want to tap into right wing extremism.
It’s a vote getter, but at what cost? When you divide the country with extreme election rhetoric, how do you plan to govern a divided country?
On another lighter note, it turns out that someone like Elon Musk, who now joins Donald Trump to rail against immigration had blabbered in his earlier years that he was in a grey area of immigration for about ten years. He has refused to clarify what his immigration status was during those years. He probably forgot what he was taught in Elementary school: Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.
He may just be deported by even Trump himself whose parents also came to America as immigrants. Notably, Trump has been married to two foreign women. His current wife and her family just got their citizenship a few years ago.
SWEET RELIEF
On a sweet note, the two astronauts stranded in Space now have cause to be joyful. Some friends from Earth just arrived aboard a SpaceX shuttle with two empty seats. They are all scheduled to return to earth in February, 2025.

Last week, the Mayor of New York City, Eric Adams was arraigned for soliciting and accepting bribes worth a “few hundred thousand.”
Nigerians shrug at Americans when they hear that kind of news. That’s kindergarten stuff. In Nigeria, if we’re gonna do it, we do it big! You gotta keep something for the Judge. If you eat alone——
THE EDO ELECTION AFTERMATH
Quiet has returned to Edo State. Every election season is usually tense as supporters fight ferociously over the candidates they support. While it’s okay to support a candidate, our people carry it too far. For us, election is always war and the candidates do not help the situation.
Every election ends up in court. No one ever congratulates the winner.
It’s sad.
ALWAYS THE ECONOMY STUPID
The Nigerian economy continues to take a toll on citizens and businesses. In the middle of all this, there are fears that the Middle East may descend into complete chaos. If it does, Oil Prices will go up. As in the past, for Nigeria, whenever Oil prices go up, we go into fear mode as our rulers see it as an opportunity to punish us by increasing fuel prices because according to the foolish argument, Oil is priced in dollars. We are not arguing with that theory. When you extract 2 million barrels every day, you must reserve 600,000 to be priced in Naira for home consumption.
If the government can embrace this policy, they will reduce suffering, put more money in the pockets of businesses which will hire more people, spur growth and widen the tax net.
I don’t think that is too hard to understand.
A small business that used to spend an average of N20k daily on petrol now spends N40k daily.
How are they expected to survive?
Here’s the conclusion we have come to at Egogonewshub. If Nigeria does not take immediate action to embrace the above recommendation, the country will go into full blown recession and the President will have a hard time asking to be re-elected in 2027.
