I reported for National Youth Service in Ondo State. We had very expansive grounds and some unallocated accommodations. Randomly, we picked a place to lay our heads. I was paired with someone I had known whom I did not particularly like. We had spent a number of days trying to adapt to the camping routine, the soldiers who commanded the camp, and the food.
One morning, we were all gathered together in one hall. A new commander had just been sent to organize the camp, and get everyone properly settled in designated accommodations. The man barked out instructions. “It’s time to do a March Past. I assume you have all been practicing. Right?? Anyone who does not feel up to it may take a seat.”
I joined those who decided to sit down.
The March commenced. They went round the hall three times. More people dropped out and joined us where we were seated.
Suddenly, those of us who opted to sit down were instructed to rise, and report in another section.
We were sent home. We would have to try another year as we were considered unworthy for any accommodations. We wailed and cried to no avail. I went back to my temporary accommodation. The friend whom I did not like had made it. I was out. I carried my suitcase, and left with a heavy heart.
Suddenly, NEPA brought light, and I woke up.
It was a dream, however, I am
not about to take it lightly because it is a new version of another dream I used to have for many years, but it stopped over 20 years ago.
This reoccurrence troubles me.
In the old original dream, I was a student. I was never a very serious student in real life. I always managed to scrape by with little effort. On this particular day, the teachers put up a notice that it was exam time. I was not ready. I went into a panic.
What is this dream telling me?

It is a very deep and significant dream. It could mean many things depending on what is under consideration.
Generally, the dreamer must be intentional about proactiveness and preparedness in all of his endeavors going forward. He must tackle the monster of deep seated feelings of fear of failure and unworthiness. He must learn to strike when it is hot. If he does not succeed the first time, then strike again and again. It will birth mastery and resilience in you. You never give up on yourself.
Secondly, is the issue of
procrastination. It is the biggest thief of time. Avoid it like a plaque. The dreamer must step back from the lie that he is not as good as others. He must see himself as the best and work hard to achieve his goals. The dreamer has a mindset of littleness which can lead to self sabotage.
I look forward to seeing contributions from others
Thanks for your insight.
The dream is saying, keep working. Better realities await you.
Amen to that.
