Vultures on Rampage.

Call them PENGASSAN, NUPENG, NURTW, RTEAN, or ASUU.

Call them by whatever name.

It is analogous to putting lipstick on a pig.
It remains a pig.
Unions are an abberation to Free Enterprise.
Without free enterprise, wealth cannot be built, an economy cannot endure.

This is no longer in the realm of theory. It is a Law. In Social Scientific circles, “Effect of Unions on growth of economy” can be measured. We can look at the Soviet Union. We can look at the eventual collapse and capitulation of Socialism to Capitalism in 1994.

We can look at the United Kingdom before, and after Margaret Thatcher.

I was on a PAN AM flight in June 1984, when I first read about Deng Zhao Ping’s ascendancy to power, and his intention to build capitalist cities as pilot projects to prove the benefits of capitalism.
He established Special Economic Zones.
I remember screaming on that flight—“Yes!!!!! finally someone is thinking!”

Deng is the reason why China has become factory
to the world and is effectively now, going by what we see in America today, the number one country on earth!

There’s one more thing they need to do to dominate the world for the next 100 years—-make English an official language. It will be a mind bogglingly blowout move. It will have an effect of 10,000 Atomic bombs in economic output. China will be unbeatable in the next 100 years until they get foolhardy as America has become, fighting uneconomically beneficial culture wars.

Unions will kill Dangote refinery. The man needs to seek special legislation dispensation from the National Assembly to protect his plant as a National Security Asset especially as it is located in an Export Free Zone.

Dangote Refinery must be insulated from vultures otherwise known as Unions for the sake of the health and prosperity of the Nigerian peoples.

Have we forgotten so soon, how an entire country was held hostage for 40 years by refineries that “refused” to work year after year, billions of dollars after billions of dollars? Have we forgotten the long queues and fights at petrol stations?

Enough said.

A SLIPPERY SLOPE.

Does anyone remember James Comey? He’s that tall guy, white, cut from the crème de la crème of white supremacy American elite class.
Comey was first in his class, destined for greatness.

Until he met Donald Trump.

On the other hand, the Trump family history is the inspiring story of an American Dream.
You can see the struggles of his grandfather.
It’s documented history. You can see how his own father picked up the baton and ran his race.
And then, we can all see how Donald picked up the baton to run the final leg not only to become the fanciest real estate developer America has ever known, but also parlaying that success to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

This is classic Horatio Alger. Rags to riches, tailor made for Hollywood.

In the mind of a Screen
writer for a Hollywood movie or a Playwright for Broadway, a class clash was therefore inevitable when these two men sat at dinner.

The President—“hey, big guy, can you see your way through to let Mike Flynn go?”
Comey: “Not a chance in hell!”

The President: “I’m no dyed-in-the wool politician. This is why the people elected me. I need your undiluted loyalty to make things work, fast, furious and super efficient, just like my iconic buildings. Where do you stand?”

Comey: “O Lordy!”

The President: (Mutters under his breath). This (unprintable 12-letter word) has no idea the (unprintable 12-letter word) he’s messing with.”

The President:
(In true New York, New York accent).
(Your (three letter word) is fired!).

Comey went into oblivion.

He’s in the news again. This time, he’s on the road to financial ruin. He will bleed, trying to get lawyers to defend his (three letter word) from going to prison for 5 years. Here are the odds he faces.

A very angry man.
A man whose powers have been increased and quadrupled by a very RED Supreme Court;
An angry Democratic Party who will not rise to his defense because they believe he was a major factor in denying Hilary the presidency in 2016; and finally, a Justice Department that is eager to please His Royal Highness.

Who will save James Comey?

What will save James Comey?

It would probably be safe to say, a Supreme Court that wakes up to the realization that if they do not save Comey from this Executive overreach, they might be next.

Or else, a daring solitary lawyer seeking to make a name for himself pleading malicious prosecution—as (many big law firms will refuse to take his case) for fear of being blacked out of government patronage.

And this should get you cracking up. In further pursuit of someone to prosecute, Trump had this to say about Letitia James, the New York Attorney General who secured a Civil conviction against Trump—“she must be very guilty of something. I don’t know.”

The newly appointed attorney for the Eastern district of Virginia, Lindsey Halligan has her marching orders. The Statute of Limitations was going to run out on Comey’s matter on September 30th. His case had to be sped up to beat the deadline.

What then is the fate of the Rule of Law in the next 4 years?

That is the question that everyone must navigate while watching the clock tick on into the Midterms in 2026, or the end of the presidential tenure in 2028. Time is the ultimate magic interpreter of all things.

Looking at all the issues unfolding in America, one must wonder—-can anything be scarier than the attack on universities and the appropriation of Science by the government?

This was capped by an announcement last week that Tylenol is directly linked to autism in pregnancy. As the US loses its leadership in these high stakes matters, we may begin to see an exodus, a brain drain from America to Europe.
If Europe is wise, there is no better time than now to take advantage.

When we begin to see European countries making unilateral decisions to recognize a Palestinian State, it tells the story about which country is no longer leading.

In all of this, where does Africa fit in? Where does Nigeria fit in? How can Nigeria take advantage of the current chaos in America? We must invest heavily in infrastructure, in science, and in research. Let’s begin a race — not to build the biggest mansion in the neighborhood, but rather, the next electric car that can travel 600 miles without recharging or finding a cure for cancer. Brain power holds more riches than Oil Wells.
Let’s harness our gifts.
Let’s make Nigeria attractive for Nigerians to begin to return.

NIGERIA, APROPOS 2027.

The clouds are gathering. Perennial presidential wannabes have formed a new group. It’s called the ADC. It is run by three old men in their 80s.
If we were to draw a picture of the Nigerian political situation today, it would be of three withering Lions, skinny for lack of kills in the Blue Corner trying to defend a Pride, versus the proud Lion King in the Red Corner of the Ring, with all the instruments of power—-the power of the purse, the power to appoint the referee, and scorers, the power to build the very Ring in which the fight will take place, and finally, the power to determine the audience, (the electorate).

As Americans would say: the ADC has their work cut out for them.
This is another way of saying “Brotherly,” to borrow a word from “To Kill a Monkey,” (O by the way, it is a must watch on Netflix), “the road ahead is gonna be hard.”

SECURITY.

By now in Nigeria, everyone knows someone who knows someone who has been kidnapped.
The issue no longer needs to be flogged.
The kidnapping industry fetched N2.3 Trillion for its directors and shareholders in 2024.

This is what we need to do now.
Everyone must hashtag—-“State Police Now.”

LEKKI TOLL GATE & STATE OF LEKKI-EPE ROAD.

Since “End SARS” when the baby and the bath water were thrown out, the Lekki-Epe Road has deteriorated into a state of despair as the toll gates were scrapped.
It is believed that the Lagos State Government has deliberately refused to pay attention to the road just to make people living in that axis to suffer enough to learn that good roads are funded by good money. Alright then. Lagos State government, please restore the toll gates. We are willing to pay to get good roads. Thank you, Mr. Governor.

I rest as I remain Yours Faithfully. Be safe until we meet again next week. Goodbye and Goodluck.
