Happy New Year Folks

Now that Detty December is effectively over. Now that the rambunctious ‘IJGB’ have made it back to their bases. Now that the film wars have somewhat abated.
Can we at least have our lives back?
Can we start to shake off the weight gain from feasting on massive bowls of jollof rice and steaming bowls of pepper soup?

It’s the New Year people! It’s time to once again have a go at those lofty projects, dreams, passions and open new vistas.

Notwithstanding the challenges or trials of the preceding year, it’s time to go on the hustings again. That’s what life is all about, isn’t it?

Here are some ideas on getting better results in 2026 and smashing your goals too:

Collaborate: Nobody can achieve success without joining hands with other people. Don’t stay alone sulking about past failures and mistakes. Reach out to different people with unusual perspectives.

Diversify: Don’t stay focused on solo projects. Be open to different ideas and projects from diverse persuasions. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Embrace new systems and dynamics especially from younger generation.

Teamwork: Utilise the strengths of your team members and their contacts. A journey of 1000 years is shortened by extensive briefings and knowledge from within.

Network: Attend more conferences, seminars and workshops to stay abreast of new developments. Artificial Intelligence is the new buzzword no one must ignore. Learn about it and utilise Ai in your operations.

Self care: Prioritise your physical and mental wellbeing this year. Take care of your body and mind through regular checks and investments.

Nature: Embrace the wonder and blessings of nature by creating more time to unwind with walks, picnics, city travel, museum and conservation tours with a community.

Are you excited that the New Year is here at last? What things will you do differently? What things will you embrace?

Let’s make 2026 epic together….
